DOORS

There's something gratifying about slamming a door. Not only does the rattle of the windows and the ache of the door frame make you feel in control, the idea of closure in and of itself is satisfying.

There have been very few closed doors in my life as of late. The "maybe" of squeaky hinges, and job possibilities lingering. The draft from doors not quite shut have made the dialogue in my mind of things to come ever more present.

I know that I am no longer a door-slammer, and that I have to relinquish SOME if not ALL control to the One who made those doors, but darned if I'm taking my own wisdom and putting it into action.
